When Australia’s leading luxury fashion retailer Harrolds envisaged their new flagship store in Sydney’s Westfield Bondi, they were drawn to the beauty and uniqueness of the Eve product and creative talents of our wall décor design team. The brief from owners was as succinct, as it was challenging, “Create a luxury destination reminiscent of the luxurious emporiums of Europe that flawlessly showcases our collections and that sculpts a retail experience like no other”.
Working closely with the lead Architectural firm on the project, NCE Commercial together with the Eve design team set about creating a premier luxury retail environment, to showcase the carefully curated merchandise of some of the world’s leading designers including Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Maison Margiela, Balmain, Kenzo, Rick Owens to name but a few.
The interior design concepts used by Eve featured classic textures, profiles and finishes, juxtaposed against its contemporary design. “The moment a customer enters the space, they are transported into a lavish palatial home. The attention to detail and richness of finishing evokes an immediate sensation of a decadent Parisian salon.” explains Eve’s lead designer Stefano Maffei.
The Eve team designed hand-crafted custom moulding to adorn the walls and shelving throughout the store, beautifully unique oversized mirrors and original artworks. Every element perfectly blended to ensure the spirit and vision of the Harrolds brief was acheived.
The centrepiece of the store, the V.I.P Dressing room – with its statement hand crafted, aged glass and brass entrance doors lead seamlessly, into a boudoir featuring two oversized mirrors and a stunning original painting, titled “The Red Dress” from Italian artist, Luca Bellandi.
All the elements designed and created by the Eve design team delivered a layer of luxury and uniqueness to an already glamorous environment ensuring a retail experience like no other for Harrolds discerning customers.
